Rapper collaborates with Sound Sultan on new single
Jibola Jasper aka Jhybo has released his first single of the year, a powerful track called PARA.
Jhybo who says he has been rapping since age 10 is well known for his indigenous rap style which features a mix of Yoruba and Pidgin English.
The rapper is also the founder of the Lima sounds and is credited with hit songs like 'Run their mouth' with Cynthia Morgan, Adura Elijah remix featuring Oritshe Femi and Iya Yin.
'Para' is a fusion of Afro beat and Grime. It is a conscious effort that details the state of his mind as he addresses the hunger on the streets, his travails and enemies he has had to deal with.
The joint, is produced by Bahdman Clarke and mixed & mastered by Spyritmyx. It also features the legendary Naija Ninja boss Sound Sultan & samples Fela Kuti on backing vocals.
Jhybo's delivery is fresh on this joint and the sampling blends quite well to give this an enjoyable listen. Para will be the first track off his eponymous E.P, which is due for release soon.
