Africa’s richest man and chief executive officer of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote has expressed gratitude to all well-wishers who celebrated his birthday with him.
Alhaji Dangote expressed the appreciation on his Twitter timeline on Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
"My gratitude to ALL of you for taking the time to celebrate with me yesterday."
"Thank you for your kind words and thoughts. God bless you," Dangote tweeted on Wednesday morning.
The business mogul, whose net worth is about $14 billion, clocked 61 on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, and celebrated on a low-key in a private ceremony at his Lagos office.
He got 61st birthday cakes from colleagues, workers and Guaranty Trust Bank, GTB. In attendance were workers from the Dangote group and the Group Executive Director, Devakumar V. G. Edwin.
Dangote is ranked by Forbes magazine as the 100th-richest person in the world and the richest in Africa.
Last month, the billionaire held a lavish wedding reception for his beautiful daughter, Fatimah Dangote and her husband, Jamil Abubakar.
The wedding reception took place at the Conference Centre of the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
